National Provider Compliance Corporation
« on: December 01, 2016, 10:23:39 AM »
We got a call yesterday from the National Provider Compliance Corporation stating they were calling about the information that they sent us about the April 2017 changes in Medicare.

The National Provider Compliance Corporation is an independent company that provides various training to providers and medical offices.  I have never been to or spoken to anyone who has attended one of their trainings/seminars.  I have no idea if they are good or not.  That is not what this post is about.

What I want to bring to every ones attention is that when these companies call they often use wording that makes the provider feel that they are affiliated with Medicare or that they may not know about something that they need to know about.  They are trying to get people to sign up for their seminars.  Nothing wrong with that.  I just like to make sure that providers know exactly what they are signing up for.  I have talked to many providers who attend similar seminars because they think they have to or that it's mandatory.

Again, I really know little about the NPCC and I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong.  I just want providers offices to know that if someone calls your office and is telling you about a seminar that they offer, make sure you ask many questions, research the company, and understand exactly what the seminar is about before you sign up.
