late charge fee
« on: October 18, 2010, 03:02:33 PM »
If you charging a percentage for your services, is it ok to charge your clients an extra percentage for being late on payments. I think this would be a way to receive payments on time from the provider. Would it be ok if you have it in your contract or would that scare them away.

It's your business, so as long as you address this in your contract you can charge a late fee. You should check with your state guidelines on late fees or interest.
