Address Not On File - Denial

(1/2) > >>

thomascy:
Hi guys!

I'll be getting my first client this week and I'm super excited.  The therapist that I'll be working with is receiving denied claims indicated "address not on file."  He recently changed locations/addresses.  We'll talk later this week but wanted to see if it's safe to assume that he hasn't given the insurance enough time to update his address AND if he has should I simply follow-up with the Provider Rep?  What would be my best course of action to get this resolved and the claims sent back for reprocessing?

OR, do you think I'm jumping ahead and I should simply wait until the therapist and I talk more this week?

I appreciate your feedback/assistance.

PMRNC:
You want to send all the carriers with the old address an updated W9 along with a letter. This is the most efficient and sure fire way to make sure it's done. You will want to make sure all records (NPI, IRS) match exactly!

Thank you Linda, truly appreciate it!
