PCP visit in a Nursing Home
« on: June 10, 2008, 11:13:56 PM »
We have a Medicare patient that is in a nursing home.  Our physician went to the home to do an office visit.  What cpt code do I use?

Thanks!
Renee

Hi,
There are CPT codes for nursing home visits that are just like the E&M codes for office visits.  They range from 99321-99333, depending on whether it is a new or established patient, and how extensive the visit was.

Don't forget to use 32 or 33 for the place of service code!
