Telephone therapy CPT 98968

Has any one had any success in billing this code for psychotherapy?  What has been the "Allowed" amount for this 30 min session?

I have once.  We had to submit to the insurance company information on why the patient could not come in to the office, then we were given an authorization number.    Not all insurances will cover this.   You need to contact the insurance company and see if they cover this on the patients plan and find out what they require (like med. nec., auths, etc.)

Same here.. I have a handful of patients that have to do therapy via phone, we too had to submit medical necessity for the phone consult. It depends on reason as to how many visits they will authorize. I have a few carriers that just wont' pay for it period. 
Can't give you allowable.. you really don't want to go on a public forum for allowables.
