Title: Florida Coding for G0101 and Q0091
Post by: davisgard on June 12, 2009, 09:51:05 AM
Hello!  I am in Florida and we are billing for the above codes together however the Q0091 is being denied as incidental to G0101.  I am quite frustrated however am beyond excited to have found this site!  Help, please!   ???  Many, many thank you's!
We are coding the claims as follows:     G0101, GC/GA (Modifiers), V72.31
                                                      Q0091, GA, V76.2

Are you billing Medicare or  commercial.  Medicare usually pays for both of those codes w/ out the modifiers.  Commercial insurances will always deny the Qoo91.  I would try to appeal it if it is the commercial.  I am in Florida too and usually get paid when I bill those two codes together, however I do not add any modifiers.  The dx I use is V76.2 but Medicare will only pay every two years.
