Reminder: AMA webinar series kicks off with focus on meaningful use of technology

Learn about the current state of health information technology (IT) and what technologies are available today to support patient-centered care and practice efficiency during "Meaningful use of technology to support patient-centered care," a free webinar scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. Eastern time Jan. 14.

The program is part of a series from the AMA that aims to help physician practices successfully implement health IT and improve their efficiency and quality of care. The webinars are being co-hosted by TransforMED, a subsidiary of the American Academy of Family Physicians that provides consultation to physicians and practices interested in transforming their practice.

Subsequent webinars, which will take place each Thursday through Feb. 4, include:

*Preparing your practice for health IT--Jan. 21
*Selecting the appropriate technology for your practice--Jan. 28
*Engaging patients in using technology to manage their personal health care--Feb. 4

Visit and select "Health IT webinars" to learn more about these programs and to register. Each webinar will be archived there after its original broadcast date.
