HELP! Medisoft v15 basic, group practice
« on: December 10, 2009, 01:35:28 PM »
Hello!  I'm new to the board.  Great site!  I am helping a friend set up in house billing at the group practice she works for.  Using medisoft v 15 basic.  We cannot get box 31 of CMS1500 to print physician name AND box 33 to print the group's name ex: "John Doe, M.D." in box 31 and "Psych Group" in 33.  Each dr. bills under the group's tax ID and NPI (even though they have their individual NPI's as well).  But we cannot just bill under the group and leave it at that.  I was able to do this using a dinosaur DOS based system at another office but can't figure it out for medisoft!  ??? help will be GREATLY appreciated! ??? ;D

In Medisoft the form should be preset to print that info into boxes 31 & 33.  You need to make sure you have the data entered into the field it is pulling from for the form.  Do they pay for support?

I have v14 and had the same problem.  Under the sections...
Practice Information: select non person.
Provider Info:
1) on the first line of the street, type the group name; on the next line put the address;
entity type=non person.
2) Default Pins tab: type group TIN.  If you use a clearinghouse, under the Extras tab, select group practice, non person.

I hope this works in v15.  If you have further trouble, feel free to email me directly mcmbilling@comcast.net

Good luck!
