Wellpath/Advantra Claims UB04 SNF
« on: October 04, 2011, 12:30:22 PM »
Anyone have any experience with getting a claim to pay from them.

I have admitted 1 resident. We have had 6 denials and they are looking for something other than by-the-book Medicare filing. I have giggled the claim every which way I can think of and can't find a way that they will pay.

I just don't know what they are looking for and they are no help.

I am just trying to find a template to follow, not dumb just can't figure out their magic way of wanting claims yet.

Our sister facility is on the line for more than we are but neither facility can get a single inpatient SNF stay paid.

Does the $47 book cover every insurer and what they are looking for?? Does it go through all the denial codes and give possible remedies?? If so, I am in!!

Would it help remedy this issue as well. Filling the claim out for Medicare is simple, filling it out for insurance companies is life in a different world.

No the book doesn't do that.  It goes through each field/box on the UB04 and describes what needs to be in there.  It also has charts of info that is needed to complete some of the fields.  It isn't specific to any insurance, just an overview.

What types of denials are you getting?
