2013 medicare fee schedule

A bit confused.....medicare fee schedule for psychological testing for 2013 is listed as $57.23.  How are they calculating what the patients % is going to be?

Sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking.  You are saying that the allowed amount is $57.23 so are you wondering if they patient will be responsible for 20% after deductible or if there will be a psychiatric reduction?

Remember that each year the psychiatric reduction is phasing down Coinsurance amount timeline is as follows: 45% in 2011, 40% in 2012, 35% in 2013, and finally in 2014 itíll be 20%.

is it 35% of all charges from therapy to psychological testing?

Yes, any services with medicare normally subject to the psychiatric reduction is now at 35% effective dates of service 1/1/2013
