Are we able to check all benefits/authorizations for all insurance companies through availity?

No.  There isn't a clearinghouse out there that does ALL the insurances because not all of the insurance companies are set up that way.  I did just check their payer list and they have very few insurances they are set up to do eligibility.  Most clearinghouse have way more set up for eligibility but then again most clearinghouses aren't free.  If you want a clearinghouse that has better eligibility options then look around to some of the paid clearinghouses like Gateway or ZirMed (they have way more payers with eligibility).  Most of them will allow you to sign up just with eligibility if you still want to do your claims through Availity.

Thank you so much. My provider is using Medisoft and I do not find it very user friendly. I am trying to get them to look into Office Ally and Practice Mate.

You can probably use Office Ally with Medisoft if you want.  I personally don't like Practice Mate but to each their own.
