QUESTION ABOUT DOING BILLING FOR CLIENT IN CALIFORNIA
« on: January 10, 2014, 01:17:58 PM »
I HAVE HAD MY OWN BILLING BUSINESS FOR 5 YEARS NOW.  I AM IN KY.  I HAVE A DR IN CALIFORNIA WHO IS WANTING ME TO DO THEIR BILLING (HE HEARD OF ME THROUGH ANOTHER CLIENT OF MINE).
I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY BILLING WITH CALIFORNIA INSURANCES OR ANYTHING FOR CALIFORNIA.
I AM JUST WONDERING IF IT IS MUCH DIFFERENT THAN INDIANA OR KENTUCKY.

I CAN LEARN ANYTHING. BUT I DON'T WANT TO GET IN OVER MY HEAD IF IT IS WAY MORE COMPLEX.  IF SOMEONE COULD GIVE ME SOME ADVICE, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!  THANKS

Merry

I am in CA. There are big differences in Medicaid from state to state. Assuming that he gives you all the information that you need for processing the claims, your clearinghouse should do most of the work for you. As far as followup, each company has their own process for doing that. Will you be doing Medi-Cal? Where is the physician located?
