Meeting Suggestions
« on: October 07, 2014, 11:03:09 AM »
Good morning,

I'm looking for some advice as to what's the best way to prepare/present one's services to a group of individuals when presenting to a group for the first time?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I have never done that before, but I have been to a few seminars. I guess it depends on the situation, and the technology/time available to you. PowerPoint presentations with accompanying reading materials for everyone there is a start, or just materials for everyone to read if you aren't wired at your location.

Personally, I would much rather get a packet/folder/whatever of concise, interesting, relevant material that explains what you can offer/do for me and have you go through it hitting the highlights with some Q&A time, then sit through a PowerPoint, but that is just me.

Ditto to kristin.....And.....make it personal/personable.  Don't be too stiff but get to the point.  Nothing worse than wading through a bunch of papers and coming out the other side scratching your head.  Make sure you tell them what you can do for them, how it will help them, and what it will cost them.  Make sure you solve a problem for them, or fill a need.  And then give it a touch of personality to make them like/remember you.  Good luck!

Thank you!

How long should one wait to follow up with the person you presented to in regards to whether or not they wish to purchase your services?
