Flu Shots

Hi All
I hope someone can help me with this one.
We are a physician's office. The physician wants to send a medical assistant to an independent living senior apartment complex to give flu shots. Any ideas how I might bill this? Does the physician need to be present? I'm confused about this one. I've never billed for one like this before. I know I'll need a demo & a copy of their insurance card(s). Do I need to go and check eligibility & collect info?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The majority are Medicare patients.
TIA

You need to check with your MAC to see if a licensed MA is a NPP. My guess it they are not, so the flu shots cannot be billed, unless a MD/DO or other licensed practitioner is providing the service, following Medicare's guidelines for billing.
