Anyone have the standard billable codes for Substance Abuse Outpatient Detox? Need Revs and HCPCS or some people bill it on 1500? Any help is appreciated.

Michele:
The insurance determines how you bill (UB04 vs CMS 1500) based on how you are credentialed with them, as a facility or as a medical provider.  There's no way to list all of the revs and HCPCS in a post (also they are copyright protected so it would be frowned upon).  Do you have something specific you are looking for?

Usually if you google the specific service the rev code and/or HCPCS code will come up in the search.

Specifically looking for the rev/hcpcs for outpatient dtx LoC

Outpatient drug rehab is 0943
Outpatient alcohol rehab is 0944

Thanks Michele, I found HCPCS S9475 and H0014 to accompany those.
