Hello, I am trying to contract our ASC with Aetna and they asked me for a rate proposal. I asked for a specific percentage over ASC CMS Methodology. They then requested me to send a proposed rate for each of the groupers, stating they use Aetna Enhanced Grouper Methodology. Can anyone please help me with what they mean by "groupers" or how to find this information. Ive tried navigating their website but haven't found an answer. Thank you

I do not have experience with negotiating rates, however it appears that Aetna has group procedures into categories, or groupers.  I found the following article that may be helpful:
