Hello,
When can we bill T1014 with the CPT for client visit???
Is  this for Visual or Audio only OR both.
Mental Health clinic.

Are you asking for any particular insurance or just in general?  According to the description of the code:  T1014 - Telehealth transmission, per minute, professional services bill separately  it would be billed in addition to the CPT code. 

ECB:
No particular insurance as I know some will not accept it.
The description of the T1014 is not super clear.
We are using it specific to mental health and were not clear if you could use it on ALL CPT codes or it was specific to
audio, visual etc etc

We are billing for a lot of mental health as telehealth visits, but we are not using the T1014.  We are strictly billing the usual CPT codes (90834, 90837, etc) but with the 02 POS & the 95 modifier.  But with Medicare we are using the 11 POS per their request.  What exactly are you trying to get reimbursed for by using the T1014?

We are not having any problems getting reimbursed for telehealth from any insurance. The T1014 averages an additional $20.00 per telehealth visit. I helped out a local clinic that does alot of community based mental health via tele and on some visits they used the T1014. We were curious if anyone knew the specific rules, we have not been able to locate specific rules online.
