List of 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th Character Required ICD-10 Codes only
mimranbilling:
Hi everyone,
Is there a way to get a list of all 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th Character Required ICD-10 Codes only in excel or text file? Need to scrub our database and exclude these codes as our physicians are keep using them in the charts.
Michele:
I'm not sure what you mean. A list of all ICD10s that require 4th or more digits?
If so, there are very few 3 digit codes so that would be most of them.

Hi Michele,
Thank you for looking into it and help me. Example code N18.3. This is an incomplete dx code which requires 5th character to complete it. F41 is also a code which requires 4th character to complete it. I am looking for a list of all those codes which are incomplete and requires 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th characters to complete them.
Michele:
I am not aware of any list like this. I see several sites with a complete list of codes, and it shows when 4th or 5th digits are required, but I don't see any that split out the truncated ones.

That's exactly what I am looking for. Can you share those sites links or any resource which can provide a complete list of all ICD-10 codes with a column shows that codes requires 4th or 5th digits?
