MEDICARE CLAIM QUESTION

Hello,

One of our California Medicare Providers was contacted by a client with Hawaii Medicare and begun doing virtual psychotherapy sessions while Provider is in California and client is in Hawaii. Both California & Hawaii Part B have the same Contractor (Noridian - JE).  Do I submit the claims using the Hawaii Medicare Payor ID or the California Payor ID?

I think claim would be summitted using both the payor's and the Contractor's ID. ???

This is a tough one.  Prior to COVID-19 the place of service was where the patient was located, which in this case would be Hawaii.  But COVID-19 changed all of the rules.  I believe if the provider is contracted with Hawaii Medicare you would send the claim to them using the Hawaii Medicare Payor ID.
