Multiple Injections Same Day - Modifier?

Hi - new here. Thanks in advance for any help. I'm billing for a visit 99214 with modifier -25. In addition to the visit a Hep B vaccine 90746, Admin of Hep B shot G0010, and Testosterone Shot J1080 and Admin of Testosterone 96372 were all done on same visit. Also a venipuncture 36415. Can anyone please let me know the correct modifier for the Administration of the shots? They have different CPT's but are consist of multiple injections? Is there a modifier for this or just use the -25 on the visit with the straight CPT's listied? Thank You - Matthew

Welcome, hope you find the forum helpful.

I'm not sure why you are using the 25 modifier on the 99214.  That is used when there is another service being performed in the same visit that the office visit would otherwise be bundled in with.  The other codes that you have mentioned would not be bundled with the 99214 so the 25 modifier is not needed.  I'm not sure of what modifier you would need for the injections that you mentioned either since they are all separate cpt codes and also are not bundled.

i have had several claims where either they pay the office visit and not the injection or sometimes just the injection and bundle the visit.
We use the 25 modifier for the visit and a 59 for other procedures

Yes . We use 25 modifier for office visit and 59 for other procedure but not sure someone suggested me to put 51 modifier if there are any multiple procedure codes.
