MEDICARE PAYING CLAIMS WITH ADDING MODIFIER

Good morning all.

When we are sending the claims without modifier, some times medicare uses the modifier and and send the payment by considering modifier.

Can any one clarify us about this, why it happens, which way we can prevent.

Your question is very vague but it sounds like you are having claims denied by Medicare.  If you don't have the modifier on the claim then Medicare would not add it.  The only thing I can recommend is that you need to call Medicare on a specific claim that was denied and ask them to explain it to you.
