Zelis fee negotiation

Zelis sent a fee negotiation for a claim dated April 5, 2023. I signed the agreement on May 4, 2023, and faxed it back the same day. Payment was made around July 27, 2023. Today, May 6, 2025, we were informed by the Zelis claims negotiator that the agreement was voided because the insurance company failed to include a non-covered line item. He also mentioned that this situation occurs frequently. This has never happened to our medical practice before, and I am shocked that it is legal, especially since it has been over two years. Zelis would hold our practice to the signed agreement, so shouldn't the same standard apply to the insurance company?
