(1/3) > >>

swamy:
When medicare is acting as secondary insurance for the patient, does it accepts paper claims ?

if yes, Then how Medicare is processing the claims with out Primary Paid EOB? can some one in the forum clarifies me on this. thanking you all in advance for your inputs on this.

PMRNC:
Medicare/Medicaid should cross over, if it doesn't the patient needs to have this resolved, but yes they will take paper claim but you will need the Medicare EOB to attach to the claim.

Michele:
Some Medicare carriers require electronic claims for both primary & secondary claims, so it depends on your carrier.  If you submit the claim on paper, like Linda said you need to attach a copy of the primary eob.

swamy: Medicare insurance itself secondary for the patient, and some other commercial insurances are Primary Insurance. In this is i don't think so cross over will happen from commercial insurnaces to Medicare.

Swamy: is it possible to get list of carriers that accepts the paper claims, and which carrier will not accept.

Do you mean the Primary's EOB? I think he is asking if Medicare will accept a paper claim when they are secondary.
