We do billing for a hospital based pathologist and we use the POS 11-for doctors office. We have never had a problem and we have been doing the billing for a very long time now.

I also spoke to Joan Logue who will be presenting on this subject in Dec at Orlando. She also stated the correct POS would be 22. Now I also have Dennis Padget (in a email) stating that it is long standing convential wisdom to use the POS were the patient is. That is fine if you are considered a independent lab and get paid on a different fee schedule. But this is just my interpretation. Please see the below website. I welcome feed back as I have been working on this for a couple of months now.
