Hello,
When I get started in the buisness I read in your book that you can work for different states, well in PA I do not need a license to be a biller but what happens if I get accounts in different states. I live in the tri-state area and this would give me more changes to get accounts. But do you know what states you need a license because I live in PA? How do you go about this?

I'm not aware of any state that requires a license to do medical billing.

No, but some states require "registration" of third-party medical billing companies. NJ is one of them.

jcbilling:
I just had a doc call me about doing her billing and she is in NJ. How could I find out where to register at?

In my understanding you register where your business is located.
