Extended Hours or Urgent Care clinic

My provider has running clininc and wants to change practice as "Extended hour Service" or "Urgent Care" Clininc where she can accept Urgent care patients who does carry "ER Emergency Service Insurance Card". Is there specific procedure to update or apply for new NPI number.

If the provider is going to bill under the same legal business name and EIN/tax ID# then they don't need a new NPI.  I'm not sure if they need to do anything to establish themselves as an urgent care facility as opposed to a clinic.

Anyone else??
