I need to code for ruling out Retinitis Pigmentosa for a patient with other unknown skin pigmentary issues. There was no eye disease at all so what do I put for a Dx code?

Per ICD-9-CM Coding guidelines for inconclusive diagnoses (probable, suspected, rule out, etc.) were developed for inpatient reporting and do not apply to outpatients
The dx code would be the dx documented by the phyician in the chart.
