Reading an ekg

My practice specializes in pain management and is comprised of anesthesiologists, physical med and rehab and we now have an emergency medicine provider.  This emergency med provider is asking if she can read ekg's.  We are located in new york state.  Can anyone help me answer her question?

She can read them if it is within her scope of practice.  What type of ER Med Dr is she?  MD? DO?
