i use office ally.. i have ERAs set up for medicare and aetna, but that only means i download the eob before the provider actually gets it in mail. i am searching in their manual but cant see anything about the option to have those payments automatically entered in the system.. that would be great if i could do that, i didnt know there is an option like that with some software. i take my comment back then, it makes perfect sense.

You just upload the ERA and it will auto post. Email me if you need help

ERA is different than Auto Posting. What everyone said about the ERA's I agree with. I don't charge extra either as it's just an added "cost of doing business" At contract renewal I will then decide if a rate adjustment is needed.
Auto posting is in my opinion.. still an "iffy" technology. I have the ability to do auto posting however I've run across glitches and I know others have as well. I currently have chosen NOT to do it because the time to FIND the errors and fix them was more of a hassle.. basically you are trusting the software too much (IMO) maybe in time this will be a technology that gets perfected but it's far from that right now.  JMO

Charlene, i just found your post.. i am lost, cant find it anywhere! do i need to have that medicare easy print software? i usually just open the eob as a text file, print it and manually post payments. i have gone through OA manuals and still havent found anything about automatic payment posting.. do you use it? thanks!!!

I know how to do it, it's just not a technology that is even close to being perfected yet. I've used it and found too many errors which takes away the time efficiency of using it. I found errors with a few different PM systems and the auto-posting features.
