Vertical Platform Lift HCPC Code

Help,

Does anyone know what the HCPC code is for a "vertical platform lift"?

electric/motorized patient lifts (HCPCS codes E0628, E0635, E0636, E0637, E0639, E0640)

or E0627 for a 3-Way Lift Chair

are any of these for the item you are describing?  I don't see 'vertical platform lift'.

That is the problem I was having, I couldn't find a specific code for "vertical platform lift".  Everything I came across stated it wasn't medically necessary, with no HCPC code listed.  My best guess was E0640.  Would this be a case where I could use E1399 and describe the equipment?

You may want to use the E1399 in this case.
