Good advice.  I have back ups in place as well.  Question for you all, have you created a Operations Manual or detailed workflow for each client?

Yes, I have policies/procedures and operational manual for each client. I keep them in 3 Ring Binders.  Not to be morbid but I think it's a must just in case you found yourself seriously injured or god forbid dead, there is a documented manual on each client. I just pictured my husband trying to do something with my business and not even knowing how to go about getting someone to take over.

Same here Linda.  I have my client workflows created and I am working on a separate management manual as well.  I have a meeting with my attorney coming up soon to begin working out the "if something should happen to me" plan.  It would be such a shame for all my hard work to just cease.

OMG, but yes thats true. I am going out for surgery and will be out 2 weeks, so I had to plan well in advance for that. Its something you have to think about when you own your own.
