I PERSONALLY, am avoiding the software issue. I market to NC Mental health providers who bill most (95%) NC Medicaid so I use NC webclaims. I also market to use their software system keeping everything in house. I have no need to pay a software company XXX for every provider i sign up. To me its just a marketing tool. I use office Ally for AR-Recovery services!!

good point.. i am doing an AR recovery for this mental health provider using OA, but i tell you, i wonder if i am doing it the easiest way that's out there.. when you do that, do you enter all the visits, all the payments and just print the aging report and visit report? that's what i did for the first month i did for this dr, but it took me a while. and OA practice mate doesnt have enough room and places for notes.. so if i come across a claim that was rejected 4 times, i have nowhere to write notes about it.. i started putting my notes in with the "add new pmt" so it shows up when i print her pmts/deposit report and i have it all together. is this the most efficient way of doing it or are you doing it differently?

e.g. remark codes, notes of a previous biller (if she resubmitted, if she talked to anyone..) and so on.. this one is a real mess, some claims have been resubmitted over and over and there is just too many denials.. i am just giving the provider the analysis, b/c only her current biller can electronically bill. and i need to let her know why the balances are the way they are, if claims have been submitted, which modifiers were used.. b/c with this one, her previous biller was playing a russian rullette!! submit this code, if denied, let's change to another one, if denied, lets add a modifier.. just trying milion ways to get smtg paid.
