If a provider sees a patient who has insurance that the provider is not credentialed with, can you still bill the service under a credentialed provider in the same practice?
Thank you

Michele:
It is illegal to bill for services rendered by a different provider under another provider's name. When the patient made the appointment they should have made it with the provider that does par with the patient's insurance. The claim should be billed under the non par provider and it will be processed out of network. :(
