Check to see if your state's dept of banking and ins has requirements that need to be listed in the contract between you and your clients.  The state of NJ does have specific requirements that must be listed in your contract; you must include your contract in your third-party billing service application here in NJ.

Charlene.. LOL  You are looking at this the wrong way. States that have higher regulative statutes/rules are only HELPING our industry.. Bet you didn't know that more billing companies in NJ have a better reputation rate than other states.Just view their registered listing and there are a bunch of well known billing companies on there. ....Why is that? Because the state has taken steps to "Legitimize" our industry.. I say kudos on that topic. I'd like to see other states follow!! The more states that take these regulatory steps the more we will weed out the bad seeds.
