Ty:
Are there any home based billers out there with Knowledge of getting providers credentialed?n If so, What are you charging for those services?

PMRNC:
There are several tiers to credentialing, some will just do the initial credentialing and others like myself will go further into it such as reviewing fee-schedules, negotiating fee schedules and contract review, what I charge usually depends on the whether they want the full deal or just bare necessities. I charge my consulting rates on hourly basis and again that is going to depend on experience, location, etc. For just the bare necessities I might charge a flat fee per carrier.

Ty:
So for inital credentialing is it just as simple as completing the application with the insurance company and monitoring it through the end of its process? The reason I'm asking is because I have a prospect that wants me to help with credentialing and although I know where to go to get them started, I haven't done it before and I want to make sure I'm not committing to something that I cant handle because Its way over my head.

Pay_My_Claims:
Medicare is one of the toughest, have you looked at the credentialing book that Michele & Alice wrote?

DMK:
Please, please, please study up before doing Medicare!  I thought I dotted every i and crossed every t and it still took freaking forever because of a dumb error!!!!!  Do whatever Michelle and Charlene tell you to!  They're the best!!
