Find Someone Like Yourself

Hi everyone,

I know this may seem off topic, but here are my words of wisdom for the newbies......In this field we are in, or trying to get in....in my humble opinion, you must be PASSIONATE about billing.....I feel so strongly about this.....I have been blessed beyond words to find Charlene Hargrove, and you all know her as 'Pay_My_Claims'.....I have been in this industry for 20+ years and have never found someone as passionate about billing as I am, that I have found in Charlene.....I ran a medical billing business back in the late 90's.....and after teaching billing for 7 years, I have gotten back into billing and have started my new billing company.  As the president of the PMBA, I often try to motivate my members in their start-up and my students in their job-seeking......but I never would have imagined how much someone could motivate ME!

Charlene motivates me on a DAILY basis!  Everything happens for a reason.....and God brought Charlene to me.....sooo, my point???

Find someone who is like you, as passionate as you, has the same goals, ideas, etc.....someone whom you can share your inspirations for your new business with.......when you find that person......hold on for dear life......you cannot imagine the joy it will bring you!  :)

Awwwwwwww, I'm touched Michelle!! I love billing, and yes we have been up many nights talking codes, PIA providers, marketing and more. Every new provider that I signed up, you got excited as if it was your own!!  When you started going back to doing billing I could actually see you glow through the PC!! Yes we both eat, breath and crap billing on a daily basis...............DON'T YOU LOVE IT!!

I totally agree with you too.  If Alice and I weren't doing this together I don't know if we would have made it.  When one of us was down, the other was there to pick it up.  We were able to share the good times, and the not so good times.  It is so good to have someone to inspire you, share with, etc.  That is another reason we started this forum.  Nobody has to be in this alone!
