medicaide as secondary for OB

Pay_My_Claims:
In, NC if Medicaid is the 2ndary payor, and the TPL pays more than the medicaid allowed amount, they won't pay anything and you can't balance bill the patient. I don't think its something you did wrong, I just don't think its allowed. I don't know about any other states but in NC doesn't pay more than they allow on a claim. Even if Medicare is the primary payor, they will show the allowed on the EOB and use a co45 code showing the primary payed more than they allowed, and its simply and adjustment.
