Emergency During Office Hours (99058) Payable

(1/4) > >>

davhafstehow:
Is there a specific modifier or CPT code, other than 99058 for an Emergency During office hours, that can be used.  Currently, we often bill a detailed exam (99214 or 99203) along with CPT 99058, but do not have much luck, especially with Medicare, reimbursing for this code.  Does anyone have a knowledge regarding this code?  Thank you.

oneround:
It is a coverable code in relation to the OV's.  May want to attacht the reports when billing.  Also, you indicate that your facility 'often' bills the OV's along with this code 99058 is not reported when the doctor's practice has UC care slots available in the schedule and patients are “fit in” to the schedule."
