bundled proc. 11402

Nadine:
I am a novice biller and need help with bundled procedures. Our facility has their respective departments, HIM and BO. We always butt heads and I always fall back on my books or policies. HIM wants a provider to code an EM for S/R which I thought was bundled to the surgical procedure-11402. S/R was done at the 4th visit and is the 13th day from when procedure was done.

If the EM was during the post op period and is for the same condition, then it is included with the surgery.  I'm assuming S/R is suture removal, and that is included in the surgery reimbursement.
