Coding books

I need to purchase coding books.  What is the difference in the standard edition and the professional editions?  Is any one publisher better than the other...I see the AMA editions and Ingenix...is either one of these better?  Also, which do you prefer spiral-bound, soft cover or hardcover?

It's probably all personal preference, but I like the PMIC books, soft cover, spiral bound, so I don't break the binding.

CPT Professinal Edition is your standard editoion used by almost all.  Like DMK I perfer the spiral as it holds togetther alot better.  Again in mirrioring DMK it is usuallly personal reference.  Yout top two distributors are Ingenix and contexo.  Books are published by the AMA and available every Nov. for a jan. intro

Ditto, I like the spiral bound editions as well, it's a preference. I also subscribe and get my codes on my Itouch as well which is pretty dang handy

CLAUDIA:
I purchased the codes on disc and had them integrated into my software, so when I set up a new DR. I just type in his code and fill in the charge for that procedure.  I also have it loaded into my desktop for quick reference if needed. It populates the description automatically in the software, so no typing of the description necessary. Saves a lot of time.
