add provider location

I have a provider who opened up an additional clinic. All his medicare claims have his home address to where the payment is sent ( although direct deposit). Do we need to notify the insurnaces of the new location addition? He will still be using his own personal npi as he is a solo provider and the same tax id as the other location ( or does he need a new tax id for the new place?

Yes, you need to notify medicare of the additional location.  He can use the same EIN/Tax id.
