Skill Nursing Services "Outpatient"

I am working with a Home Care Agency, patient contacted the office for services. I know Medicare does not pay for private duty nursing, I know a doctors order has to be on file. However, patient needs skill nursing services as an outpatient service, Would Medicare pay for SN as an outpatient service?

You need to contact the Medicare carrier for the area and give them the specifics to see if it will be a covered service.
