Transition to your own business

(1/1)

rlopez32:
I have recently decided to start my pwn business from home. The trouble i am having in have to figure out how to transition from the full-time job i currently have and need, to working full-time at home. I do not have neough clients yet to be able to quite my job. I cant think how i will be able to take other billing calls for my clients if i work full-time for someone else. Can anyone give my some advice as how to transition from full-time jobs to being on my own? Thank you!!

Thats a tough one, I worked full time but I already had 2 clients before I gave my notice. It was extremely hard, I had to use a lot of my vacation and sick days and also my lunch hour when possible.  If you can do it, I would say get as far as you could with the start up of your business but when you begin starting your marketing make sure you use your cell phone number for marketing purposes so that you can be available when possible. I won't say it's going to be easy because doctors are not going to want to leave messages when they are shopping around, what I did was have a message on my cell phone that I was on another line and would return their call as soon as possible.

I am in same situation as rlopez 123.

Linda,
Thanks for advice. I am working full time and have 2 clients. Now I want to grow but is very hard to take out time for marketing. I am taking help of my current clients to introduce me to other doctors.
