Why pay for something when I get it free for now. I agree, if there is not enough $ coming in I can do without paying for the better version for now. I have no problem entering in my transcations, I just set some time aside to do so and keep my receipts and log on to the bank acct to verify deposits and what not.
PMRNC:
I didn't even know Intuit had a free version, is that new? I've been using QB for a long time and I admit to not really using all of it's features.I mainly like the connection the software has to various other programs such as my contact management software and I also like the ability to keep both my businesses separate in their own databases.

Linda,
I am not sure how new it is but I have been using it with my other business for the past 2 years. They give you the option of using the free version and the paid version. You can have the system set up to where it can access the bank account that you use for your business and it will sync your transcations for you.
