billing snf

i have a physician who would like to send his PA to skilled nursing facilities to bill for wound care-29581, and would like to bill a visit code.  Does anyone know if this is possible to bill with a visit?  or even billing a skilled nursing facility?  thanks  Sue

Yes it is possible to bill.  I don't know the requirements of a PA and supervision and it varies from state to state so you need to make sure the PA can go to the facility and that the supervising physician is not on the premises, but as for going to a facility and billing for would care, that is fine.
