mental health w/c

with w/c,  most of the carriers have not updated their codes for psych testing.  Most of the w/c I deal with are still using old cpt code of 96100.   Does anyone know of any w/c carriers that have updated to 96101 & 96102?

Nope, I'm running into same thing here but I've only had to bill Liberty Mutual so far, i don't do much WC.

Chartis has updated to 96101.   FYI

there is another cpt code for neuropsych testing vs psych testing(96101) 96118... depending on the dx that maybe a better option... my guess is if your provider is doing this on w/c there maybe some type of brain damage in which the 96118 maybe better...
