True, and it is the most abused modifer out there. Its used as a cure for all sometimes. If not mistaken mod 59 can be used also on separate encounters. The only reason I wouldn't use 79 because according to the coding flow chart for 79 if the pt is in a global period (back up). I would like to also know how it turns out.
