Should HIPPA forms be signed everytime a patient comes in or can they sign only once, retaining a copy in the file?

It is not necessary to have the patient sign every time. Just have them sign once and keep it in their file. If you update anything with your HIPAA policy then you could have them sign again. Some providers like to have them resign the original form once a year. Whatever works for you as long as you keep the signed form in their chart.
