« on: August 22, 2011, 04:53:44 PM »
nHi, I hope someone can lead me where to go, I have a Dr. who see's patients in a hospital so they are im patient codes but is there a place on medicare's site I could see what the allowable is by geographical areas, I have never figured out what the provider would charge, I know there are ways. Then he thought I would use Medicare's allowable plus 100%.  I am totally confused.  Please soneone if you could help me I would appreciate it.

Hi Judy,

A common way to develop a fee schedule is to use the Medicare allowed amounts and go between 130% - 150%.  I haven't heard of going plus 100% but it's up to the provider.
