Timeframe allowed to correct error on submitted claim?

For non-contracted providers what kind of timeframe is allowed to submit corrections to previously submitted claims?
For example, if a claim for facility services was submitted timely to a commercial carrier with an incorrect CPT code/charge.
Thanks for any advice.

That will vary depending on insurance carrier. You can submit the corrections but they may not reprocess or honor them if too much time has passed.
